Review of Pampas de Areco Resort de Campo & Spa

    Beautiful and Secluded Location

Pampas de Areco Resort de Campo & Spa is nestled in a serene and picturesque location, ideal for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat. The large parkland and outdoor pool add to the charm, making it a perfect spot to unwind and relax.

    Comfortable and Spacious Suites

My suite was bright and spacious, adorned with classic décor and hardwood floors. The room offered lovely garden views and was equipped with all modern amenities, including a flat-screen TV, mini-bar, and a private bathroom. The comfortable bed ensured a restful night’s sleep.

    Excellent Spa and Recreational Facilities

The resort boasts extensive spa facilities, including a hot tub, sauna, and fitness center. I enjoyed a relaxing massage, which was available upon request. The pool area is amazing, and there are ample activities to enjoy, such as tennis, golfing, and hiking.

Mixed Experiences with Staff and Services

While some staff members were extremely kind and eager to help, others were less cordial and seemed unwilling to assist. The reception and other common areas, including the cozy library and games room, were well-maintained and added to the overall pleasant experience.

    Restaurant and Dining

The restaurant serves a wide variety of local and international dishes, and the breakfast was good, though it could benefit from a wider selection of fresh fruits and natural juices. The bar offers a good selection of drinks, perfect for a relaxing evening.

    Room for Improvement

There were some issues with overcharging, as the price quoted on Booking was not what I was charged. Additionally, the resort could benefit from some renovations, particularly in the rooms where the furniture and accessories appeared a bit dated.

    Conclusion

Overall, Pampas de Areco Resort de Campo & Spa is a wonderful place for a tranquil escape with excellent facilities and beautiful surroundings. However, there are areas for improvement, particularly in terms of pricing transparency and updating room interiors. Despite these minor drawbacks, I would consider returning for another relaxing stay.

    1. Nuria

[+] The hotel and its surroundings were charming, with cozy premises and a spacious bedroom. The driveway to the hotel winds through a picturesque little forest.
[-] However, we were overcharged; the price listed on Booking differs from what we were actually charged. The breakfast also needs improvement, offering a very limited selection of fruits, and the juice was neither natural nor fresh.

    2. Federico

[+] Wonderful and secluded location, perfect for a romantic getaway.
[-] Might be slightly overpriced for local residents.

    3. Ricardo

[+] Everything was more than excellent. I will return soon. It’s wonderful.
      [-] Nothing

    4. Eduardo

[+] The location was excellent, as were the facilities, breakfast, and the room.
[-] The price through Booking.com was excessively expensive, and there were flies, which we didn’t expect.

    5. Victoria

[+] The pool and the friendly attitude of the restaurant staff were commendable.
[-] However, the quality of the restaurant has significantly declined, although the prices have not. We had booked a ground-floor room with a private deck facing the pool, but without informing us, they tried to give us a room on the first floor. While the first-floor room had a larger bathroom, it lacked a balcony and deck. They didn’t even have the courtesy to ASK if we wanted this change. We had to insist on getting what we had reserved. They then tried to give us a room literally next to the restaurant kitchen, where the deck led directly to the kitchen’s exit. Once again, we had to insist on getting the room we originally reserved, and only after much persistence did we succeed. This was very frustrating. Additionally, the Wi-Fi did not work the entire weekend, which also meant that the TV did not work.

    6. Agus

The staff here is exceptionally kind and always ready to assist. The location is spotless and beautifully decorated in a charming countryside style. The pool is fantastic, and the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. Cons: None.

    7. Stefano

[+] The environment is excellent, nothing is lacking. There are two swimming pools (one heated, indoors, and outdoors within the spa). Everything is functional, set in a peaceful and well-maintained green area. The breakfast and dining options are good, and the rooms are very spacious with a nice King size bed. I would say it’s perfect for a few days of relaxation.
[-] The only downside is that the rooms could use some renovation. The furniture, floors, accessories, and finishes are a bit outdated. The TV and its usage are not up-to-date.

    8. Flavia

[+] Everything! The reception area with the lounges, the rooms, the pool, the spa, the service.
      [-] Nothing

    9. Ricardo

The staff’s attention varies greatly. In some instances, it is excellent, while in other cases, it is quite poor, lacking courtesy and goodwill. Some staff members are friendly, though.

    10. Federico

Amazing hotel located on the outskirts of Areco, featuring a spa, pool, and artificial lagoon. The luxurious facilities maintain a rustic charm. The service is impeccable, the place is beautiful and very peaceful, and the breakfast is extremely comprehensive. Definitely a place worth returning to.
