Incredible Couples Getaway on Bruny Island
Our stay at the Couples Getaway in Alonnah, South Bruny Island was absolutely delightful. Here’s a breakdown of our experience:
- Comfort and Space: The cabin was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The lounge area was perfect for relaxation, and the property was well-appointed with all necessary amenities.
- Stunning Views: The ocean views from the balcony, lounge area, and bedroom were breathtaking. The large deck was a great spot to enjoy the scenery, though it can get quite sunny in the afternoon.
- Location: The property’s central location made it convenient to explore all that Bruny Island has to offer. Nearby, there’s a hotel that serves excellent meals, and we appreciated being close to such facilities.
- Wildlife: We enjoyed the frequent visits from wallabies and pademelons in the backyard, which added a special touch to our stay.
- Well-Equipped: The kitchen and laundry were fully equipped, and the pantry was stocked with basic breakfast items and staples. This made our stay very convenient.
- Comfortable Bath: The bath at the end of the bed was a unique feature that we loved, offering an extra layer of relaxation with a view.
Minor Drawbacks:
- The bed’s wooden frame made access slightly challenging. It might not be suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. A king-size mattress could potentially improve this.
- There was no Wi-Fi available, but mobile data coverage was sufficient for us. However, having Wi-Fi would have been a better convenience.
- The living room heater had a minor issue, but it was resolved quickly by the hosts.
- Some toiletries like shampoo were missing, which was a small inconvenience.
Despite these minor issues, our stay at the Couples Getaway was unforgettable. We highly recommend this property for a relaxing and scenic escape on Bruny Island.
