Exceptional Stay at Zuri Zanzibar, Kendwa
Location:
Zuri Zanzibar is situated in the beautiful Kendwa Beach district, offering guests an idyllic beachfront experience with stunning white sand and crystal-clear waters. The private beach area adds an exclusive touch to the stay.
Accommodation:
Our bungalow room was surrounded by lush greenery, providing a serene and peaceful environment. The room was well-appointed with air conditioning, a comfortable seating area, a wardrobe, a desk, and a flat-screen TV. We were fortunate to have both pool and garden views, enhancing our overall experience.
Amenities:
The resort boasts an outdoor swimming pool, a beautiful garden, a terrace, and a bar. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for maintenance during our stay, but the beach more than made up for it. Free WiFi was available throughout the property, which was a great convenience.
Dining:
We enjoyed a variety of dining options at the resort’s three restaurants. The buffet on our first night was exceptional with a wide selection of delicious dishes. Maischa Restaurant, specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine, did not disappoint. However, the fine dining options had limited portions, which might not be to everyone’s taste, especially for those on a half-board package.
Staff:
The staff at Zuri Zanzibar were outstanding. Special thanks to Raphael for the warm welcome, Hassain for his effective problem-solving, Mariem and Mary for their excellent customer service, Malius for going the extra mile, and Preetam for ensuring everything was perfectly organized. Their efforts made our stay memorable.
Activities:
One of the highlights was snorkeling near the resort, with breathtaking coral reefs just a short walk away. The natural vegetation around the property added to the overall charm and tranquility of the place.
Overall Experience:
Our stay at Zuri Zanzibar was nothing short of perfect. The exceptional service, stunning views, and unforgettable experiences made it a dream getaway. The property and the people were all great, making it a paradise on the island. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a serene and luxurious escape.
Minor Concerns:
The road outside the entrance could use some maintenance to provide a better first impression of the hotel. Additionally, while the fine dining experience was pleasant, the portions were small and the variety could be improved.
Overall, Zuri Zanzibar offers an exceptional experience that we would gladly return to. Everything about this property was exceptional, and our only regret was not staying longer.

[-] We opted for the half-board package. The first night’s buffet was amazing, and we were very pleased with it. However, due to renovations, the remaining nights’ meals were served in other restaurants that specialize in fine dining, which offer smaller portions. While I understand the concept of fine dining, there should be exceptions, especially for guests on a half-board package.
The resort advertises a great selection of music, but we could only hear it at the beach bar, not on the beach itself. It would have been nice to enjoy some good music during sunset, but unfortunately, the volume was always low except on the first day.

[-] Unfortunately, the food at Zuri was a letdown. The A la carte restaurant offers very limited options, making it difficult to find something appealing to order. The portions were small, and the quality of the food was below average. We couldn’t bring ourselves to dine there again. The only memorable dinner we had at the hotel was the Fish Night, which requires an extra fee. Otherwise, we had to venture outside the hotel to find good meals. Additionally, the breakfast selection was disappointing; despite the island’s abundance of sweet fruits, the ones served at the hotel were sour and tasteless.
